A romantic getaway in Bardstown works best when there is room in the schedule for the two of you. Choose one experience you are excited about, make a dinner plan, and leave time to enjoy your room. At Bourbon Manor, our ten individually furnished guest rooms, breakfast for overnight guests and onsite bourbon lounge give you a comfortable home base for an anniversary, a birthday or a weekend together in Kentucky’s Bourbon Country.

How to choose your room for a romantic stay
Start with the comforts you will actually use. Our rooms have individual layouts, so a room’s name alone will not tell you everything about its bath, bed or floor. Compare the guest-room descriptions and photographs before choosing your dates.
- Prefer a first-floor room? Sweet Old Fashioned has a king canopy bed, an electric fireplace and a bathtub with spray jets and a shower. First-floor location does not by itself establish step-free access; ask us about your specific needs.
- Looking for a tub for two? Mint Julep is on the second floor, with a king bed, an electric fireplace, a jetted tub for two and a separate walk-in shower.
- Planning a particular celebration? Let us know what matters to you before booking. Room availability and the terms shown for your chosen dates in our reservation system determine what can be booked.
Romantic entertainment in Bardstown: choose your main outing
You do not need a full day of appointments to make a memorable trip. Choose the option that fits your interests, then plan around its schedule.
- A seated meal and countryside scenery: My Old Kentucky Dinner Train offers lunch, dinner and specialty excursions. The standard dinner excursion is listed at about 2½ hours. Check your selected departure, arrival instructions, menu and inclusions before reserving; different excursions have different offerings.
- Time outdoors: Use Bernheim’s trail guide to choose a walk that suits your energy and the weather. Its Arboretum Loop is listed as 1.5 miles, with an estimated walking time of 45 minutes. Check current access and trail conditions rather than treating that estimate as a promise.
- Historic architecture: Consider a mansion tour at My Old Kentucky Home State Park. Confirm the current tour schedule before pairing it with a meal or another timed activity.
- A bourbon experience: Compare the Bardstown distillery experiences on Bardstown Bourbon Company’s official booking page. Select the Bardstown location, check availability, and allow time between reservations. Arrange transportation before drinking.
Make room for a good meal
For a restaurant evening, explore The Rickhouse and its current menu and reservations. For a meal alongside a distillery visit, check the restaurant information for Bardstown Bourbon Company’s Kitchen & Bar. Confirm service on your date directly, especially if you are planning a late meal.
Our Bardstown restaurant guide gives you more places to consider. Match the reservation to your outing’s finish time, leave a travel buffer, and mention dietary needs when booking. If the dinner train is your main event, you already have your meal plan for that part of the day.
Enjoy time at Bourbon Manor
Begin the morning with breakfast at the Manor, included for our overnight guests. Later, make time for The Bunghole Bourbon Lounge, our onsite lounge with more than 100 bourbons. It welcomes the public as well as staying guests, except during special events or private rentals. Check the lounge page for current visiting details. The lounge does not serve food, so keep your dinner reservation separate; drinks are purchased separately.
For an occasion you would like to personalize, review our spa information and the Enhance Your Stay options. Our current selection lists couples massage, roses and chocolate-dipped strawberries. Ask us about availability and required notice for your dates; these extras are purchased separately from your room.
A simple two-night plan
- Before arrival: Choose your room, reserve your main outing and dinner, and arrange any transportation you need.
- First evening: Settle in and enjoy your dinner plan. Leave any additional stops flexible.
- Full day: Have breakfast, enjoy your chosen outing, and keep part of the afternoon free for downtown or time together at the inn.
- Before heading home: Enjoy breakfast and review your onward plans without adding another appointment simply to fill the schedule.
