Walk Among the trees: Redwood Sky Walk at Sequoia Park Zoo

The Redwood Sky Walk at Sequoia Park Zoo in Eureka, California, offers a unique opportunity to explore the towering redwoods from a new perspective. This self-guided, interpretive experience features a network of suspended bridges and tree platforms that rise to 100 feet above the forest floor, providing visitors with an immersive view of the ancient redwood canopy. Discover the unique ecology of the world’s tallest trees from an elevated vantage point, deepening your connection to nature.

The Sky Walk spans just under a quarter mile (1,104 feet) and is the longest of its kind in the western United States. The main portion of the Redwood Sky Walk at Sequoia Park Zoo is ADA-compliant; however, there is an optional 369-foot “adventure leg” with open mesh decking for those seeking a more thrilling experience. Visitors may feel more sway from the wind or the presence of other people on the suspension bridge.

Admission to the Redwood Sky Walk at Sequoia Park Zoo allows visitors to take in both attractions. For the best experience during your Sky Walk, slow down and embrace the quiet. Listen to the wind in the branches, the distant calls of wildlife. Breathe deeply. Relax your shoulders and take in the beauty of the redwood canopy all around you.

Either before or after your Sky Walk, visit the oldest zoo in the state, established in 1907. Spanning 7 acres within a 60-acre park, it offers visitors a unique blend of wildlife exhibits and natural beauty. The zoo is renowned for its commitment to conservation, education, and providing meaningful connections between animals, humans, and the environment.
